What you will do

• Collaborate across multiple domains to build a real-time operating system for autonomous robots.
• Design and implement core infrastructure and libraries using modern C++.
• Build highly reliable and performant compute and network systems.
• Integrate and work closely with next-generation LIDARs, cameras, radars, and other sensors.
• Gather metrics, analyze, and optimize the operation of autonomous systems.

Requirements

• BS, MS, or equivalent in Computer Science or a similar field.
• 5+ years of experience building software infrastructure in environments with significant scale and performance.
• Proficiency in reading and writing modern C++ code.
• Strong familiarity with using Linux to build complex software.
• Must be located in or able to work from the SF/Silicon Valley area.

Nice to have

• Understanding of network protocols such as TCP, UDP, and PTP.
• Experience working with sensors like lidars, cameras, and radars.
• Familiarity with high-throughput storage and database systems.
• Knowledge of performance optimization tools (perf, trace tools, memory profilers).
• Experience using Bazel for large, cross-platform projects.
• Background in operating systems or build systems.
