What you will do

• Conduct security assessments on AWS and Azure, reviewing configurations, identity architectures, and attack paths.
• Design and build detection logic and alerting for cloud control plane activity and identity-based threats.
• Develop Python automation to accelerate assessment work and correlate large datasets.
• Partner with Red Teams during Purple Team exercises to test detection and response capabilities.
• Produce high-quality reports and presentations for technical and executive audiences.
• Lead client engagements from scoping through delivery across the JAPAC region.

Requirements

• Strong practical experience with AWS and Azure (identity, compute, networking, storage, serverless).
• Proven experience building detection content using queries and alerting logic in SIEM/XDR environments.
• Ability to analyze misconfigurations to identify realistic attack paths and common cloud attack patterns.
• Proficiency in Python scripting for automation and working with KQL, SPL, or cloud-native query engines.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills for stakeholder management.
• Must be based in the JAPAC region.

Nice to have

• Experience with GCP.
• Detection engineering for on-premises Active Directory and Wintel infrastructure.
• Cloud incident response experience (AWS, Azure, or M365).
• Kubernetes, container security, and DevSecOps (CI/CD pipeline security).
• Proficiency in Mandarin, Japanese, Hindi, or Thai.
