Staff Site Reliability Engineer, Edge - TS/SCI (SRE): Lead the evolution of large-scale production systems for secure identity infrastructure supporting national security missions with an accent on reliability, performance, and high-security compliance. Focus on designing resilient infrastructure, conducting incident root cause analysis, and developing automation frameworks in restricted environments.
Location: Based in the Washington, D.C. area. Must have active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance and be subject to U.S. Government contract requirements including drug testing.
Salary: $174,000 — $217,000 USD

What you will do
- Design, build, and oversee production infrastructure for architectural integrity and peak performance.
- Act as senior escalation for incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement automated preventive solutions.
- Develop automation frameworks, evolve monitoring tools, and establish technical documentation to eliminate toil.
- Optimize highly available, large-scale environments across complex network topologies for "Always On" delivery.
- Mentor engineering organization on SRE best practices and self-education culture.
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance and deep experience with FedRAMP and DoD IL6 frameworks.
- B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent technical experience.
- Mastery of AWS networking and security (Transit Gateways, VPCs, Route Tables, ELBs, NACLs).
- Advanced IaC with Terraform or CloudFormation; expert Linux admin with Go, Python, Bash, or Ruby.
- Proven management of Docker containers and Java stacks (Apache/Tomcat) in high-security production.
- Solid networking concepts, IP protocols, and multi-cloud infrastructure knowledge.
