TL;DR
PL/SQL Software Engineer (Oracle HRIS): Develop new features and modernize capabilities across a large-scale HRIS SaaS platform with an accent on complex business rules, high-performance PL/SQL code, and Oracle database architecture. Focus on optimizing SQL queries, shift-left testing, and leveraging AI tools for scalability and correctness.
Location: Remote (distributed team across multiple time zones)

What you will do
- Design, develop, and maintain new features across HRIS modules like Payroll, Benefits, Time & Attendance, and CoreHR.
- Modernize existing features in a multi-tenant cloud SaaS environment.
- Write high-performance Oracle PL/SQL code, stored procedures, and functions following best practices.
- Optimize SQL queries and data operations for large datasets and high transaction volumes.
- Validate work through shift-left testing including unit, integration, and regression tests.
- Leverage AI tools for development, refactoring, and documentation; collaborate in agile team with code reviews and architecture discussions.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with Oracle PL/SQL.
- Solid understanding of Oracle RDBMS including performance tuning, indexing, triggers, and execution plans.
- Experience in SaaS or transactional systems with complex business logic.
- Ability to design efficient data structures, functions, and stored procedures.
- Familiarity with shift-left development, writing tests, and ensuring correctness.
- Experience using AI development tools; strong communication skills in English (written and verbal).
- Experience collaborating in distributed, agile teams.
Nice to have
- Experience with the HR industry.
- Exposure to modernization or legacy-to-cloud projects.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
