What you will do

  • Supervise litigation globally with local teams, handling pre-litigation and disputes focused on banking matters like payments, fraud, and regulatory actions.
  • Lead dispute strategy and execution for France and Belgium markets.
  • Decide legal strategies to limit financial risk and coordinate provisioning with Finance.
  • Support Belgian branch on commercial contracts, product launches, and regulatory questions.
  • Improve litigation processes, automate with AI, and build scalable playbooks.
  • Mentor junior team members on complex cases.

Requirements

  • At least 4 years handling French banking litigation end-to-end (payments, accounts, fraud), assessing risks; CRFPA/CAPA and lawyer experience a strong plus.
  • Curiosity for commercial contracts, banking products, and Belgian law.
  • Forward-thinking with AI experimentation and structured case management.
  • Strong collaboration with stakeholders and external lawyers; excellent written communication.
  • Professional fluency in French (C2) and English (C1); deep knowledge of French banking law.
