TL;DR

Strategic Liaison Coordinator (Government Liaison): Supporting operational coordination between Katalis, DFAT, and the Indonesian government with an accent on cross-ministerial alignment and administrative support. Focus on managing stakeholder engagement, tracking action items, and ensuring strict compliance with donor and government protocols.

Location: Hybrid in Jakarta, Indonesia (must be physically in the office at least 3 days per week)

What you will do

  • Act as the central coordination and liaison point between Katalis, DFAT, Bappenas, Kemendag, and other government stakeholders.
  • Provide comprehensive secretariat support, including preparing agendas, taking minutes, and maintaining action trackers for high-level meetings.
  • Monitor program workplans, identify delays, and follow up on agreed actions across ministries.
  • Manage administrative and compliance processes, including BAST documentation, VAT restitution, and expatriate formalities.
  • Coordinate logistical support for official missions, workshops, and public-private dialogue forums.
  • Ensure all activities align with DFAT and hirify.global policies, including GEDSI and anti-corruption measures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, public policy, international development, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in donor-funded development programs, preferably with DFAT.
  • Proven experience working with Government of Indonesia institutions, specifically Bappenas and/or Kemendag.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Bahasa Indonesia.
  • Sound understanding of Indonesian government systems, planning processes, and reporting mechanisms.
  • Ability to maintain an in-office presence in Jakarta for the majority of the working week.
