TL;DR

Head of Competence Center Insurance (QA/Insurance): Leading the growth and strategic evolution of the Insurance unit with an accent on delivery, pre-sales, and scalable best practices. Focus on steering insurance transformation testing end-to-end and driving test automation across the DACH region.

Location: Remote within Germany (willingness to travel to support clients on-site required)

What you will do

  • Lead the strategic evolution of the Insurance Competence Center, establishing efficient processes and data-driven performance management.
  • Sharpen the insurance service portfolio and provide domain expertise to enable the sales process across the DACH region.
  • Own business-focused testing initiatives and steer transformation testing from design through delivery.
  • Increase market visibility through targeted industry formats and strengthen the company's positioning as a trusted partner.
  • Manage external test teams and ensure tight alignment between business stakeholders, analysts, and engineering.
  • Define test plans and concepts, taking overall responsibility for planning and governing all test activities.

Requirements

  • Must be based in Germany.
  • 5+ years of test management experience specifically within the insurance domain.
  • Strong German (C1) and English language skills.
  • Experience with core modernization, portfolio migrations, and portal or partner integrations.
  • Proficiency with Jira, XRay, HP ALM, and/or Azure DevOps.
  • Willingness to travel to support clients on-site.

Nice to have

  • Experience in the msg ecosystem (msg, msg life, msg systems).
  • ISTQB certification, preferably at the Advanced Level.
  • Background in insurer-side or consulting programs.
