TL;DR

Product Counsel (AI/Cybersecurity): Providing legal advice to product, engineering, and AI teams for identity verification and AI-enabled offerings with an accent on biometrics, fraud, and regulatory compliance. Focus on operationalizing AI, AML/KYC, and eID frameworks across multiple jurisdictions including LATAM, EMEA, and APAC.

Location: Hybrid: 3 days in the London office

What you will do

  • Provide legal advice to product and AI teams on biometrics, fraud, and platform services.
  • Guide product development from discovery to deployment, ensuring compliance with AI, privacy, and AML/KYC laws.
  • Review and negotiate product agreements, data sharing terms, and government contracts.
  • Support global expansion into LATAM, EMEA, and APAC by tracking jurisdiction-specific requirements.
  • Collaborate with privacy and compliance teams on AI and biometric regulatory frameworks.
  • Contribute to internal policies and scalable legal governance tools.

Requirements

  • LLB or equivalent from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in at least one jurisdiction.
  • Unrestricted work authorization in the applicable jurisdiction.
  • At least 5 years post-qualification experience, with at least 3 years in an in-house environment.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken).

Nice to have

  • Certifications in privacy, technology law, or AI regulation.
  • Proven experience in global regulatory matters for technology companies.
  • Strong background in providing legal support for product and technology teams.
