Student Software Engineer (Java)

What you will do

• Design and develop challenging large-scale systems from scratch.
• Build and document architecture and tools to support future Slack integrations.
• Create CI/CD pipelines for deploying applications using Docker and Kubernetes over Hyperforce.
• Integrate monitoring, alerting, and observability tools into the technology stack.
• Collaborate with remote teams on shared libraries and tools, primarily within the Java ecosystem.
• Utilize AI-powered coding tools while maintaining high-quality code standards.

Requirements

• BS or MS in Computer Science or related technical field, graduating in 2027.
• Must be enrolled in the final year of studies as of September.
• Basic experience in a server-side environment using Java or C#.
• Strong grasp of object-oriented programming, algorithms, and data structures.
• Familiarity with Git and GitHub.
• Good written and oral communication skills in English (must).

Nice to have

• Knowledge of multithreaded and parallel development.
• Experience with Relational or NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with Cloud Computing (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Experience with Node.js, Python, Scala, or Frontend technologies (JS, HTML, CSS).
• Experience with Generative AI frameworks (Langchain, Llamaindex) and LLMs.
• Experience using AI coding assistants like Copilot, Cursor, or Claude Code.
