TL;DR

Middle QA Engineer (Fintech): Ensuring quality across a multi-component ecosystem including Web, Mobile, and Backend for a digital insurance and travel platform with an accent on mobile architectures and API integrity. Focus on validating high-risk integrations, conducting root cause analysis across distributed environments, and implementing shift-left testing strategies.

Location: Full-time remote (GMT +3 timezone). Potential relocation to Doha, Qatar.

What you will do

  • Own end-to-end quality assurance across Web, iOS/Android mobile applications, and Backend services.
  • Lead validation of high-risk integrations and third-party SDKs to ensure data integrity and reliability.
  • Design and maintain test strategies, test plans, and acceptance criteria for complex product features.
  • Perform early-stage (shift-left) analysis of requirements and architecture to identify risks.
  • Manage the full defect lifecycle and perform root cause analysis (RCA) using logs and monitoring tools.
  • Collaborate with DevOps and Automation teams to improve CI/CD processes.

Requirements

  • Over 3 years of Software QA experience within product-driven or financial environments.
  • Strong expertise in mobile QA, including deep understanding of iOS/Android architectures, Xcode, and Android Studio.
  • Hands-on experience with traffic inspection tools such as Charles, Proxyman, or Fiddler.
  • Solid experience in backend and API testing using REST (Postman, Swagger) and gRPC.
  • Understanding of microservices architecture and event-driven systems like Kafka.
  • English: B2 level required.

Nice to have

  • Basic knowledge of test automation and CI/CD (GitLab CI/GitHub Actions).
  • Experience with containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) and SQL for data validation.
