Solutions Engineer (Cloud)

Solutions Engineer (Cloud): Designing and developing cloud infrastructure components across AWS, Azure, and GCP with an accent on modernization of IT infrastructure for defense missions. Focus on implementing DevOps frameworks, managing containerized applications via Kubernetes, and integrating AI/ML pipelines.

Location: Remote (US), but may require occasional in-person work at facilities in Hanscom AFB, MA or Hampton, VA. Must be able to obtain a US Secret security clearance.

Salary: $55,300 – $126,000 per year

What you will do

• Collaborate with architects to design, develop, and debug cloud components using Azure, AWS, and GCP.
• Develop and manage containerized applications within a DevOps framework using Kubernetes.
• Modernize legacy computing platforms and create new cloud-native applications from scratch.
• Explore and implement technical solutions using internal cloud labs to solve client challenges.
• Create technical documentation, READMEs, and write-ups for implemented solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related STEM field.
• Ability to obtain a US Secret security clearance.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) via coursework or personal projects.
• Experience with virtualization and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, Proxmox).
• Knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Ansible) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with AI/ML projects, such as RAG pipelines or LLM-backed tools.

Nice to have

• Advanced experience with cloud networking, IAM boundaries, and workload management.
• Professional AWS Certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect Professional or Security Specialty).
• Experience with monitoring and observability stacks (Grafana, Prometheus, ELK).
• Background supporting DoD programs or C2 platform integration.
• Experience in a technical lead role overseeing design and delivery outcomes.
