What you will do

• Evolve EKS lifecycle, multi-tenant isolation, and regional consistency using Kubernetes and AWS.
• Identify and reduce waste in storage and compute to improve reliability and cost.
• Automate Elasticsearch cluster management, including shard management, data retention, and re-balancing.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and SRE teams to scale the core platform.
• Mentor peers and drive cross-team initiatives to influence engineering culture.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building and operating large-scale, cloud-native systems (SRE, DevOps, or Infrastructure).
• Deep production experience with Kubernetes (controllers, CRDs, Helm/Kustomize, autoscaling).
• Experience managing Infrastructure-as-Code at scale using Terraform.
• Strong software engineering skills in Java or Python.
• Must be based in the United States.

• Experience working with large codebases.
• Experience with functional programming and the JVM.
