TL;DR

Graphic Designer - Contract to Hire (Financial Services): Synthesizes complex financial concepts into impactful layouts and graphics for websites, slides, videos, social media, and communications with an accent on data visualization and multimedia storytelling. Focus on translating data into clear, engaging visuals using design thinking, gestalt principles, and adherence to corporate brand guidelines.

Location: Hybrid in Austin. This role is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.

What you will do

  • Work with sales and investments stakeholders to translate data into compelling charts and graphics for various mediums and audiences.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Creative teams to develop social media visuals, data visualizations, and graphic elements illustrating complex concepts.
  • Create multimedia storytelling experiences for the blog using video, motion graphics, and interactive data visualizations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s in graphic design or related field; 1-5 years of design experience in media, agency, or in-house with focus on data visualization.
  • Expert proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
  • Proficiency in preparing files for print and digital use, using AI (Adobe Firefly) for image editing/generation, and storyboarding for animation.
  • Ability to create digital designs adhering to web design principles and UI/UX best practices; work on Mac and PC.
  • Highly organized, results-oriented, flexible; ability to work independently and in a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Provide online portfolio or PDF with recent relevant work.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of front-end development and content management systems.
  • Background in financial services industry.
