Principal Data Architect (Cloud)

TL;DR

Principal Data Architect (Cloud): Designing and leading the technical implementation of scalable data products, data lakes, and data meshes with an accent on cloud infrastructure and high-load workloads. Focus on translating complex business problems into technical data solutions and ensuring MLOps and CI/CD best practices.

What you will do

• Lead multidisciplinary teams of data scientists and engineers to build and maintain data products.
• Design and architect scalable software solutions across various subject matter domains for multiple clients.
• Collaborate with strategy, product, and customer experience teams to align technical solutions.
• Develop and maintain detailed design documentation and technical specifications.
• Ensure all solutions adhere to security, performance, and non-functional requirements.
• Create proof of concepts and develop complex mechanisms to solve technical pain points.

Requirements

• Must be based in Colombia.
• Solid experience in architecture design, technical leadership, and deploying data lakes/meshes.
• Proficiency with Cloud platforms (Azure or AWS) and Data Platforms (Snowflake, Databricks).
• Experience with orchestration tools like Apache Airflow or Microsoft Data Factory.
• Knowledge of CI/CD, MLOps pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• English: Advanced/Fluent proficiency required.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of GDPR, privacy, and security non-functional requirements.
• Understanding of Design Patterns, Clean Architecture, and Clean Coding.
• Experience with Data Governance principles.
