What you will do

• Own the technical direction and architecture of the new web-based GUI for electronic trading platforms.
• Lead and mentor a team of frontend and backend engineers, fostering a culture of ownership and collaboration.
• Translate functional and UX requirements into technical designs, APIs, and implementation plans.
• Establish and enforce coding standards, code review practices, and development processes.
• Collaborate with the CTO, product owners, and DevOps teams to define CI/CD pipelines and deployment strategies.
• Ensure high code quality through automated testing (unit, integration, end-to-end) and regression suites.

Requirements

• Several years of experience as a tech lead delivering complex web applications, preferably in financial markets.
• Strong expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript and SPA frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue).
• Backend knowledge, specifically Java and the Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) pattern.
• Solid understanding of REST/JSON APIs, WebSockets, and performance optimization.
• Experience with CI/CD tools and automated testing frameworks like Playwright.
• Strong communication skills in English are required for liaising with remote stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with AI integration in the SDLC for code generation, refactoring, or documentation.
