What you will do
- Lead discovery for trading and custody projects to create prioritized backlogs from ambiguous problems.
- Define technical scoping, including system interactions, data flows, and feasibility considerations.
- Produce development-ready requirements, acceptance criteria, and process maps.
- Coordinate alignment across Compliance, Operations, Custody, and Engineering teams.
- Support third-party vendor evaluation, onboarding, and integration documentation.
- Analyze system inefficiencies to optimize trade netting and settlement processes (T+1).
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst within financial services, specifically in trading, custody, or settlement.
- Proven experience in technical scoping and collaborating with engineering on system design.
- Solid understanding of APIs, data flows, and system architecture.
- Strong proficiency in process mapping, requirements gathering, and gap analysis.
- Experience working in regulated environments with awareness of audit and compliance.
- English: C1 level or above required
Nice to have
- Experience with third-party vendor integrations.
- Background in fintech or high-growth startups.
- Familiarity with trading platforms, execution flows, or best execution monitoring.
- Experience with post-trade processes or settlement optimisation.
