What you will do

• Define and maintain holistic view of Databricks footprint, drive adoption by identifying use cases and creating target reference architectures.
• Contribute to technical vision, data strategy, and roadmap for product groups ensuring Databricks supports their needs.
• Design scalable capabilities to ingest, transform, and distribute data streams for key initiatives.
• Influence cross-product alignment and prototype integrations for business processes and data assets.
• Engage stakeholders, articulate Databricks value, build partnerships with vendors and internal teams.
• Partner with architects on enterprise initiatives, support solution reviews, and contribute to standards/patterns.

Requirements

• B.S. in Information Systems/Computer Science or equivalent
• 7+ years architecting and delivering integrated data solutions
• 5+ years building/optimizing data pipelines in cloud/hybrid (Azure, Google Cloud)
• 3+ years with Databricks platform
• Expertise in data management, integration, analytics; modern data architectures (Domain-driven, DataOps, API-centric, SQL/NoSQL, FAIR principles)
• Familiarity with ML workflows and Data Science concepts
• Strong communication, leadership, storytelling to influence decisions

Nice to have

• Proven track record leading complex data projects
• Appreciation of application architecture and integration patterns
• Experience in regulated industry like life sciences
• Multi-cloud experience, positioning Databricks vs. others (e.g., Google Vertex)
• Coaching/mentoring experience
