DevOps Engineer (Automotive)

TL;DR

DevOps Engineer (CI/CD): Designing and optimizing scalable build pipelines and automation strategies for automotive technology platforms with an accent on CI/CD architecture and infrastructure scalability. Focus on managing containerized environments, optimizing Jenkins/GitHub Actions, and implementing advanced automation frameworks.

Location: Hybrid working model; on-site preferred in Bucharest, Romania. Full-time remote work globally is possible for positions that can be performed outside a hirify.global or customer location.

What you will do

• Design and implement scalable CI/CD pipelines with integrated automated testing.
• Set up and manage build infrastructure utilizing on-demand servers and AWS.
• Own and optimize Jenkins and GitHub Actions pipelines and automations.
• Manage large-scale version control systems (Git-Gerrit/GitHub) and containerized environments (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Develop advanced automation scripts and frameworks using Python, Bash, and Groovy.
• Mentor junior engineers and establish DevOps best practices across teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in DevOps and CI/CD automation.
• Proficiency in scripting languages: Python, Bash, and Groovy.
• Strong experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Deep understanding of build systems and version control.
• Availability for hybrid work in Bucharest or eligibility for global remote work.

Nice to have

• Experience with Yocto or embedded Linux builds.
• Advanced cloud infrastructure experience (AWS or similar).
• Proven track record of improving CI/CD at an organizational level.
