Senior Kafka/RabbitMQ Platform Engineer (Kafka/RabbitMQ, Spark): Operating and optimizing distributed messaging platforms and data infrastructure with an accent on cluster administration, production troubleshooting, and platform governance. Focus on tuning Kafka and RabbitMQ under load, automating DataOps with Ansible, Terraform, and scripts, and integrating messaging platforms with data pipelines.
Location: Fully remote from Portugal, Poland, Romania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Germany, Turkey, Armenia, Georgia, or the EU

What you will do
- Administer and operate RabbitMQ and Apache Kafka distributed messaging platforms in production.
- Deploy, scale, monitor, and operate Apache Spark workloads.
- Troubleshoot distributed infrastructure and critical data environments.
- Implement governance, security, and continuous monitoring for messaging and data platforms.
- Write technical documentation, architecture materials, runbooks, and operational procedures.
- Integrate messaging platforms with advanced data pipelines and automate operational workflows.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience operating distributed messaging platforms, Apache Spark workloads, and critical data infrastructure.
- At least 2 years of experience with AMQP, topics, queues, partitions, offsets, delivery guarantees, message ordering, and production tuning of Kafka and RabbitMQ.
- At least 2 years of experience with DataOps automation using Ansible, Terraform, and Python or Bash scripts.
- At least 1 year of experience with Debezium or Apache NiFi, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- English at upper-intermediate level or higher.
- Certification in messaging administration.
