System Engineer (Automotive)

System Engineer (Automotive/CCU): Managing and overseeing the technical blueprint for complex automotive software and systems with an accent on customer specifications and technical feasibility. Focus on designing system architectures, defining validation plans, and integrating embedded components within the vehicle ecosystem.

Location: Tokyo, Japan. Must be willing to work in an office as needed.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain system architecture, ensuring alignment with best practices and project requirements.
• Translate customer needs and stakeholder requirements into detailed system-level specifications.
• Define and execute validation plans to ensure the system meets performance, safety, and quality standards.
• Integrate various system components and ensure their proper functioning within the broader vehicle system.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues arising during the development and testing phases.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware, software, and mechanical engineering.

Requirements

• Strong expertise in Central Compute Unit (CCU) technologies and vehicle EE architecture.
• Proficiency in requirements management tools such as DOORS, IBM Jazz, or SystemWeaver.
• Experience with System Modeling Language 1.5 and automotive process models (ASPICE, Functional Safety, Cybersecurity).
• Knowledge of Machine Learning HW/SW architectures and mobile wireless technologies (5G, 4G/LTE, Bluetooth).
• Fluent communication skills in both English and Japanese.
• Must be based in or able to work from Tokyo, Japan.
