Location: Hybrid in Sydney, NSW, Australia with regular interstate travel (approx. 1 week per month). Tool of Trade vehicle provided.

What you will do

• Lead high-risk site and system audits using the National Audit Tool (NAT) to ensure operational compliance.
• Maintain SHW and Injury Management Self-Insurance licenses per Board and regulatory requirements.
• Develop risk-based national audit schedules incorporating performance data and enforcement trends.
• Present data-driven findings to management, Audit & Risk Committee, and executive leadership as a trusted advisor.
• Identify process improvements, mentor junior team members, and integrate SHW into business practices.
• Travel interstate regularly to audit diverse retail and hospitality environments.

Requirements

• Cert IV in WHS (minimum); Diploma in WHS highly desirable.
• Solid experience as Safety Advisor or Auditor, ideally in self-insured organization or retail/hospitality.
• Expertise in National Audit Tool (NAT) and Self-Insurance compliance.
• Familiarity with Safety, Health, and Wellbeing Management Systems.
• Strong data interpretation, problem-solving, and communication skills to influence operations and executives.
• Comfortable with regular interstate travel (approx. 1 week per month).

Nice to have

• Experience auditing SHW Management Systems.
• Proficient in Australian Standards for Professional Practice of Internal Auditing.
