What you will do
- Lead high-stakes negotiations to offset supplier cost increases and shift to proactive cost management.
- Coordinate CPI reviews and Joint Business Plans (JBPs) aligning Group strategies with key suppliers.
- Validate cost prices using 'Should-Cost' models and enforce Standard Trading Conditions (STCs).
- Draft and refine supplier contracts to maximize rebates and settlement terms.
- Conduct audits and gap analyses to recover missed funding and ensure P&L realization.
- Manage supplier parity across banners, provide commercial intelligence, and support financial forecasting.
Requirements
- 8+ years of relevant senior commercial experience.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or similar.
- Proven experience with complex pricing models, large product portfolios, and Joint Business Planning.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and optimization strategies.
- Strong negotiation, influencing, data analysis, and modelling skills.
- Experience in matrix organizations; retail experience highly regarded.
