What you will do

• Develop, validate, and debug firmware for hirify.global silicon products across BIOS, microcontrollers, and memory systems.
• Work on system level modeling and algorithm development.
• Handle hardware-software integration within constrained environments involving timing and processing limitations.
• Collaborate with architects and designers to ensure robust firmware solutions.
• Assist in architectural decisions, validation planning, and performance benchmarking.

Requirements

• Proficiency in C, C++, Assembly, or related programming languages.
• Experience with firmware or embedded software development.
• Must be a second-year graduate student majoring in CS, EE, or a related domain.
• Availability: At least 4 full days per week for six months.
• Location: Must be based in or able to work on-site in Shanghai, PRC.
• Good English communication and documentation skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in system firmware (BIOS, Uboot etc.) or IP firmware on microcontrollers.
• Familiarity with IA32, X64, ARM, or RISC-V architectures, including CPU core, PCIe, and memory.
• Strong self-motivation, initiative, and creative problem-solving skills.
