TL;DR

Employment Paralegal Associate (Labor & Employment): Provide comprehensive support to employment attorneys in litigation, compliance, contract review and drafting with an accent on labor and employment laws, regulations and case law. Focus on conducting legal research, managing documents for discovery, and collaborating with HR for regulatory compliance.

Location: Chicago, IL, United States. Hybrid work model requiring in-person attendance at least three days per week at GT office or client site. Ability to travel as needed.

Salary: $75,000–$85,000

What you will do

  • Provide litigation support by collecting, reviewing, and preparing documents for discovery.
  • Conduct legal research on labor and employment laws and provide compliance recommendations.
  • Collaborate with HR and internal teams to ensure adherence to employment regulations.
  • Review employment and benefits vendor contracts.
  • Manage legal documents, track case deadlines, and report on metrics and trends.
  • Support investigations, draft policies, and prepare cease & desist letters and agreements.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3+ years experience as an employment paralegal in a law firm or in-house.
  • Associate or Bachelor’s Degree; paralegal certification preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with legal research tools, document management, case management databases, and Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with Microsoft Copilot or other AI-productivity tools.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and work independently/collaboratively.
