TL;DR

Senior SDET (Java): Developing and implementing automated test suites for a biotechnology platform combining genomics and machine learning with an accent on increasing test coverage and reusable infrastructure. Focus on building scalable testing tools, executing forensic production investigations, and ensuring high quality for mission-critical personalized medicine applications.

Location: Must be based in Latin America (LATAM)

What you will do

  • Design and implement innovative test plans and automation strategies for internal and external systems.
  • Create reusable test suites and specialized testing tools to enhance platform stability.
  • Collaborate with developers and PMs during design and code reviews to ensure system testability.
  • Perform forensic investigation and resolution of production software issues.
  • Manage QA documentation in compliance with a formal software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Act as a technical contact during formal User Validation exercises with stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of related experience.
  • Strong hands-on coding proficiency in Java.
  • Experience developing automation using Maven, TestNG (or JUnit), and Selenium.
  • Experience with relational (e.g., SQL Server) and NoSQL databases.
  • Proficiency with GitLab Pipeline or similar CI systems.
  • Must be based in LATAM.

Nice to have

  • Experience with JavaScript, JSON, DOM HTML, and React Native or AngularJS.
  • Knowledge of API testing.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted code generation tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Codex).
  • Experience with Sauce Labs or LIMS.
  • Experience working in agile product teams (Scrum or Kanban).
