TL;DR

Development Engineering Intern (Thermal Management): Assisting in the execution of R&D Product Development for automotive thermal systems with an accent on sample part design, test fixture build-up, and experimental testing. Focus on engineering data analysis, refrigeration system thermodynamics, and hydraulic principles to improve mobility efficiency.

Location: Lockport, NY, US. No sponsorship for employment-based visas provided.

Salary: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour

What you will do

  • Assist in the design and construction of sample parts.
  • Design and build test fixtures and complete thermal management module test setups.
  • Manage test instrumentation in coordination with engineering technicians.
  • Execute experimental testing on thermal systems and components.
  • Perform engineering data analysis and create technical reports.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
  • Basic understanding of thermal systems and refrigeration thermodynamics.
  • Foundational knowledge of hydraulic principles, including coolant and refrigerant circuits.
  • Must not require sponsorship for employment-based non-immigrant and immigrant visas now or in the future.

Nice to have

  • Exposure to or experience in the automotive industry.
  • Understanding of quality control principles and quality-related statistical methods.
