AML/CTF Quality Assurance Specialist

AML/CTF Quality Assurance Specialist (Fintech): Independently test and review AML/CTF quality across processes like onboarding/KYC, SDD/CDD/EDD, PEP and sanctions screening, transaction monitoring, alert handling, SAR/STR drafting, and case documentation with an accent on ensuring compliance with policies, standards, and regulations. Focus on spotting patterns, tracking defects and trends, providing feedback, improving training, and supporting audits.

Location: Hybrid (2 days in office recommended but not enforced, offices across Europe)

Salary: £3,600 - £4,500 gross per month

What you will do

• Run regular QA reviews across internal and outsourced AML/CTF processes including KYC/CDD/EDD, PEP/sanctions screening, transaction monitoring alerts, investigations, and escalations
• Check case notes and evidence for completeness, clarity, and audit-readiness
• Track defects, trends, recurring issues; provide feedback and agree on fixes with teams
• Maintain QA sampling plans, scorecards, procedures aligned with policy changes
• Support audits and regulatory reviews with QA reporting and control evidence
• Improve training and playbooks using QA findings; escalate issues to leadership

Requirements

• 3+ years experience within EU or UK based financial institution (QA, AML/CTF management/operations, or audit)
• Good knowledge of relevant AML/CTF regulations
• Ability to quickly identify missing evidence, logic, risk rationale, or documentation in files
• Confident with PEP, sanctions screening, transaction monitoring models, metrics, trend analysis
• Clear, practical communicator for actionable feedback
• Fluent English
• Independent mindset with good judgement for control issues
