Project Manager - Capital Equipment

TL;DR

Project Manager - Capital Equipment: Manage multidiscipline teams on capital equipment projects from quotation to completion with an accent on execution, budgeting, and customer satisfaction in US & Canada. Focus on delivering milestones on time, handling scope changes, risk management, and providing sales support through technical presentations.

Location: Anywhere within the US, preference for Minneapolis, MN area. Must be work authorized in the United States on a full-time basis without need for employer sponsorship now or in the future. No relocation or visa sponsorship. Up to 30-50% regional/global travel required.

Annual Base Salary: $103,800 – $148,100 USD + 10% performance bonus.

What you will do

• Lead project execution, secure deliverables per contract, and meet milestones on time and within budget.
• Drive productivity using global tools, processes, quality governance, and risk management.
• Manage scope changes, issue variation orders, communication, and documentation.
• Develop quotations with account managers, provide sales support via presentations, and implement sold systems.
• Manage project team, provide performance feedback, and present status reports in review meetings.
• Contribute lessons learned and pursue continuous education, including PMP certification.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, industrial, chemical engineering, food science, or equivalent.
• PMI/PMP certification or motivation to obtain it (required).
• At least 5 years of project management experience.
• Demonstrable leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Industry regulatory knowledge (PMO, 3A, OSHA, CFR-113, etc.).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, SAP, basic AutoCAD; budgeting and fiscal management.
• Very good command of written and spoken English.
• Able to travel extensively during implementation and commissioning.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of dairy, beverage, cheese, and powder processing.
