What you will do

• Develop and customize WordPress themes and plugins according to design specifications
• Write clean, semantic HTML/CSS ensuring cross-browser compatibility and mobile responsiveness
• Implement on-page SEO including meta tags, structured data, and page speed optimization
• Integrate SEO plugins like Yoast or Rank Math and analytics tools like GA4 and GTM
• Work with page builders like Elementor or Gutenberg while maintaining code quality
• Maintain existing sites with updates, security patches, and performance audits
• Collaborate with design and marketing teams to clarify requirements and deliver on time

Requirements

• 3+ years of commercial WordPress development experience
• Strong HTML/CSS skills with pixel-accurate markup, no heavy reliance on drag-and-drop
• Solid understanding of on-page and technical SEO fundamentals
• Experience with page speed optimization (caching, image compression, lazy loading, CDN)
• Familiarity with Git and basic deployment workflows
• Ability to read and write code without relying on page builders

Nice to have

• Experience with WooCommerce
• Basic PHP/JavaScript knowledge for custom functionality
• Familiarity with performance tools like Lighthouse, GTmetrix, PageSpeed Insights
