TL;DR

Technical Operations Manager, OSP Construction (FTTH): Manage day-to-day construction operations, milestone tracking, and completion of OSP fiber to the home network projects with an accent on pre-construction planning, execution/sequencing, and splicing/testing for handover. Focus on budgeting, vendor performance, scheduling, financial reporting, and ensuring adherence to engineered designs and standards.

Durham, North Carolina. This role is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.

US base salary $114,000 - $126,000 + cash award + benefits. Pay varies by location.

What you will do

  • Manage project budgets, scheduling, resource planning, activity sequencing, prioritization, vendor performance tracking, financial reporting, invoice approval, and material management.
  • Develop and maintain vendor contracts, terms, and construction schedules aligned with business commitments.
  • Communicate progress to internal/external stakeholders for proper scoping and seamless network acceptance handoff.
  • Foster open, transparent cross-discipline change management processes.
  • Ensure projects follow approved engineered design plans, hirify.global specs/standards, contracts, SOWs, and municipal requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in Program/Project Management within large, capital intensive, technical scopes.
  • 3 years of vendor management experience managing resources, performance, and project deliveries.
  • Experience scheduling projects, capital tracking/forecasting, reporting status/costs vs commitments, influencing commercial terms.

Nice to have

  • PMP, PgMP, or other project management certification.
  • 7 years of Project/Program Management experience.
  • 5 years in Vendor Management.
  • Experience in analytical roles emphasizing financial/operational performance.
  • Experience managing telecommunication infrastructure, FTTx operations, or OSP projects.
  • Ability to influence/resolve disputes while balancing priorities to meet deadlines.
