TL;DR

Technical Consultant I (Maximo): Support implementation projects for IBM Maximo Enterprise Asset Management systems with an accent on configuration, customization, and client-specific adaptations. Focus on requirements gathering, solution design, testing, deployment, and applying software development lifecycle methodologies.

Hybrid or home-based in Canada; up to 50% travel per year required.

What you will do

  • Support Maximo implementation projects under senior consultant guidance.
  • Configure and customize IBM Maximo for client requirements.
  • Document technical designs, requirements, and user guides.
  • Participate in requirements gathering, solution design, testing, and deployment.
  • Apply standardized software development lifecycle methodologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for project execution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Technology.
  • 1–2 years hands-on experience in IBM Maximo.
  • Experience in Java, JavaScript, SQL, or other programming languages.
  • Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint).

Nice to have

  • Understanding of relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, DB2).
  • Maximo Certification (Asset Management v7.1 or higher).
  • Intermediate or better SQL skills.
  • Understanding of UML for data and process modeling.
  • Experience with IBM Maximo Asset Management or related applications.
