Senior Information Security Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Hybrid (Manchester or London); requires a minimum of 50% of working time per month spent in the office.

What you will do

• Lead the delivery and management of security solutions across endpoint, cloud, network, DevOps, and monitoring.
• Design and implement secure infrastructure controls aligned with industry best practices.
• Evaluate and implement new security tools and platforms to drive automation and innovation.
• Coordinate patch management across systems and hardware and support server hardening.
• Provide security oversight for projects, change initiatives, and regulatory audits.
• Act as the primary technical link between the CISO function and Infrastructure teams.

Requirements

• Proven experience implementing enterprise security platforms.
• Deep understanding of security solutions such as SIEM, PAM, IGA, and endpoint protection.
• Experience working within frameworks such as ISO27001 or NIST.
• Strong understanding of core IT and networking principles.
• Must be based in or able to commute to Manchester or London for hybrid work (min 50% office attendance).

Nice to have

• Experience in financial services or e-commerce.
• Knowledge of firewall technologies and cloud security standards.
• CISSP certification (achieved or in progress).
