What you will do
- Build production backend services and APIs in Python.
- Develop the glue between the compute layer and customer-facing products.
- Design and maintain data pipelines and integration layers.
- Collaborate with science and product teams to ship iterative improvements.
- Mentor early-career engineers and contribute to technical direction.
Requirements
- 5+ years of backend software engineering experience in production.
- Strong Python fundamentals and expertise in building backend services.
- Ability to work across the stack (data, infrastructure, APIs).
- Experience shipping in fast-moving, ambiguous environments.
- Must be based in or able to work onsite in San Francisco.
Nice to have
- Experience with GPU or accelerator-adjacent engineering.
- Background in High-Performance Computing (HPC).
- Familiarity with causal inference or graph-based systems.
