What you will do

• Develop and implement robust test plans for drug delivery devices and formulations intended for clinical trials.
• Conduct specialized aerosol characterization, including particle size analysis and breathing simulations.
• Design and build custom experimental setups and methodologies when standard equipment is insufficient.
• Analyze experimental data using statistical methods and first-principles engineering to guide product development.
• Maintain meticulous records per Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and prepare technical reports for regulatory submissions.
• Operate and maintain specialized lab instrumentation, such as cascade impactors and chromatography systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience with pulmonary or nasal delivery testing equipment (e.g., Breathing Simulators, Cascade Impactors).
• Proficiency in Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and technical writing.
• Ability to work onsite full-time in a lab environment.
• Willingness to use respiratory protective equipment as required.

Nice to have

• Experience with UHPLC and optical measurement systems.
• Familiarity with medical device and pharmaceutical regulations (ISO 13485, ISO 14971, or CFR 820.30).
• Experience with SolidWorks for custom test-fixture design.
