What you will do

• Design and execute test plans for drug delivery devices and formulations intended for clinical trials.
• Conduct aerosol characterization, particle size analysis, and breathing-simulation experiments.
• Develop custom test setups and methodologies for laboratory and R&D needs.
• Analyze experimental data using statistical methods and first-principles engineering analysis.
• Operate and maintain cascade impactors, particle size analyzers, chromatography systems, and related instrumentation.
• Prepare technical reports and collaborate with formulation scientists and device designers on iterative product development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with pulmonary or nasal delivery testing equipment, including breathing simulators and cascade impactors.
• Knowledge of safe handling practices for aerosols, powders, or nebulized substances.
• Proficiency in Good Documentation Practices and technical writing.
• Ability to work onsite full-time in a laboratory environment and use respiratory protective equipment when required.
• Experience with or knowledge of pharmaceutical and medical-device quality and regulatory standards, including ISO 13485, ISO 14971, or CFR 820.30.

Nice to have

• Experience with UHPLC and optical measurement systems.
• Experience with 3D CAD software, specifically SolidWorks, for custom test-fixture design.
