Frontend Engineer - Mobile (React Native): Building and optimizing mobile applications for a gaming super app spanning sportsbook, casino, and arcade products with an accent on real-time data synchronization and high-performance animations. Focus on implementing physics-based interactions, hardware-accelerated graphics, and maintaining a scalable design system.

Location: Remote within Canada

What you will do

Build and ship features for sportsbook, casino, and fantasy apps using React Native.
Implement complex UI components including market layouts, betting slips, and lobby experiences.
Develop physics-based animations, gesture-driven interactions, and canvas-based graphics.
Maintain WebSocket subscriptions for real-time odds, match updates, and notifications.
Integrate payment flows, including in-app purchases and bank transfers.
Optimize performance for animation frame rates and memory management across iOS, Android, and web.

Requirements

4+ years of professional front-end development experience.
2+ years of experience building production-ready React Native apps for iOS and Android.
Proficiency in TypeScript and modern development patterns.
Experience with Reanimated (shared values, worklets, gesture handlers).
Must be based in Canada.

Nice to have

Experience in sports betting, gaming, or fintech.
Knowledge of canvas-based graphics (e.g., React Skia).
Experience with real-time data architecture (WebSockets, GraphQL).
Familiarity with React Native Web and design system tooling like Storybook.
Experience with E2E mobile testing.
