Senior Software Engineer (Node.js/AWS, Edtech)

What you will do

• Develop RESTful services in AWS using Node.js, NestJS, API Gateway, and Lambda.
• Design and build scalable, event-driven microservice architectures with EventBridge, SNS, SQS, RabbitMQ, and AmazonMQ.
• Lead engineering-wide initiatives and collaborate with multiple teams and stakeholders.
• Integrate the system with external APIs.
• Utilize GitHub Copilot for daily development and AI-assisted code reviews within CI/CD pipelines.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience with Node.js and its frameworks (Express, NestJS, Koa, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with AWS, specifically Lambda (serverless) and Terraform for infrastructure-as-code.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript.
• Experience with message brokers and asynchronous communication in distributed systems.
• Must be based in the European Union.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of REST with OpenAPI 3.0.
• Experience with Angular (specifically version 21 with signals).
• Experience writing test suites using Jest.
