Software Quality Engineer

TL;DR

Software Quality Engineer (Retail Software): Supporting QA in product development of Vynamic Retail Platform with an accent on manual and automated E2E testing, quality analytics, and AI technologies. Focus on designing robust test suites, defect management, environment readiness, and collaboration in Agile/Scrum sprints.

Location: Hybrid model (minimum 3 days per week in Katowice office, Poland)

What you will do

• Design and build robust, maintainable UI and integration test suites aligned with architecture standards.
• Support test data strategies, environment readiness, and observability.
• Track quality KPIs like coverage and defect escape rates, driving continuous improvements.
• Triage failures, perform root cause analysis, and implement guardrails to prevent recurrence.
• Maintain documentation for test strategies, frameworks, and runbooks.
• Experiment with AI for test generation, coverage analysis, anomaly detection, and regression optimization.
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and DevOps in Agile environment; handle reporting and retesting.

Requirements

• 3+ years in software quality or test engineering
• Self-driven with ability to create E2E tests from scenarios; attention to detail.
• Basic SQL for test data and validation.
• Hands-on with test management tools (Jira, Xray or equivalent).
• Detailed understanding of testing principles and Agile processes.
• Clear bug reporting, defect lifecycle tracking, and technical documentation skills.
• Good English communication skills for international teams

Nice to have

• AI in testing (e.g., Github Copilot).
