TL;DR
Staff Site Reliability Engineer (GCP/Fintech): Building and automating cloud infrastructure for a financial platform with an accent on reliability, scalability, and network architecture. Location: Remote (Must be based in the United States, except Hawaii)
Salary: $208K – $330K + Equity

What you will do
- Lead GCP architecture and automation to ensure reliability, scalability, and efficient cost management.
- Define and improve SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets using Cloud Monitoring and Datadog.
- Shape multi-region disaster recovery and capacity planning strategies for long-term durability.
- Design and optimize cloud networking, including VPC architecture, Cloud Armor, VPN, and DNS.
- Implement infrastructure-as-code and GitOps practices using Terraform, Kubernetes, Helm, and ArgoCD.
- Mentor other SREs and infrastructure engineers through design reviews and incident retrospectives.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in software, infrastructure, or site reliability engineering.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience operating production systems in GCP.
- Deep expertise with Kubernetes (GKE), Helm, Terraform, and ArgoCD.
- Strong programming skills in Python, Go, or TypeScript/JavaScript for automation.
- Experience with relational and distributed databases (MySQL, Cloud SQL, Cloud Spanner, Redis).
- Must be based in the United States (excluding Hawaii).
Nice to have
- Experience in fintech or other regulated environments.
- Familiarity with CI tooling such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Tekton, or CircleCI.
- Previous experience working in high-growth startups.
