Location: Onsite in Belfast, Sheffield, or Hatfield/London. Must be a UK resident for at least 5 years to obtain SC level Government Security Clearance.

What you will do

• Provide specialist technical support for complex network and cyber security deployments across UK contracts.
• Act as a key decision-maker during cyber incidents to ensure effective mitigation and response.
• Deliver expert security advice and remediation guidance to internal business lines and external customers.
• Own and execute integration testing for new security products and services, including documentation.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to build innovative platforms and maintain operational excellence.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of security fundamentals and experience in 2nd line security operations.
• Proven expertise in firewall and security platform troubleshooting.
• Solid knowledge of network fundamentals, including routing and IP.
• Experience with operational discipline, change management, and governance processes.
• UK residence for a minimum of 5 years is mandatory for Government Security Clearance (SC level).

Nice to have

• Experience with Fortinet, Palo Alto, or Cisco security platforms.
• Industry certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Security+, or CCNA.
• Exposure to automation and scripting for scalable security operations.
