Salary: $120,000 - $200,000 per year

What you will do

• Drive system architecture, translating product requirements into mechanical, electrical, and firmware splits, making buy-vs-build decisions.
• Select and qualify critical parts like motors, sensors, actuators, motion controllers, and power supplies.
• Handle light CAD for MCAD brackets/mounts and ECAD for embedded platforms/PCBAs.
• Build prototypes by assembling parts, bringing up boards, and integrating systems.
• Write drivers for peripherals and integrate into firmware and application stack.
• Own testing, validation, data analysis, and corrective actions.

Requirements

• Several years of hands-on experience taking complex electro-mechanical or robotics products from concept to working hardware
• Breadth in mechanical design, electronics, and embedded code across real products
• Comfortable producing simple MCAD and ECAD designs independently
• Tinkerer mindset to resolve hardware ambiguities and system behaviors

Nice to have

• Background in motion control, closed-loop systems, or sensor fusion
• Shipped hardware product from prototype to production at volume
• Experience with X-ray systems or radiation-emitting equipment
