Software Engineer (Flight Reliability)

TL;DR

Software Engineer (Flight Reliability): Develop mission-critical applications for launch vehicle production, flight operations, and Starlink growth with an accent on engineering change management, risk mitigation, and reliability. Focus on designing fullstack solutions, building agentic AI systems, and owning software from prototype to production.

Location: Onsite in Hawthorne, CA. Remote/hybrid not considered. Must be U.S. citizen, national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee per ITAR requirements.

Salary: Level I $125,000–$145,000/year; Level II $145,000–$175,000/year

What you will do

• Develop highly reliable software used across hirify.global for production and operations.
• Create applications to improve operations and manage engineering changes.
• Build prototypes to validate designs and quantify constraints.
• Own full software engineering and product development lifecycle.
• Deep dive into user problems to deliver efficient solutions.
• Collaborate on architecture, design, and code reviews.

Requirements

• Bachelor's in computer science, engineering, math, or science; or 2+ years professional software experience.
• 1+ years fullstack development experience.
• Onsite in Hawthorne, CA; extended hours/weekends possible based on launch schedule.
• U.S. citizen/national, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee (ITAR).

Nice to have

• Python, C#.NET, Go, Scala, or Java.
• 1+ years single-page web apps.
• Version control, CI/CD.
