What you will do

• Consistently break news and deliver scoops within the technology, cybersecurity, and politics beats.
• Report and write at least four stories per month using data, OSINT, or visual investigations.
• Pitch and deliver at least one high-impact long-form feature story annually.
• Collaborate with the security desk and the global newsroom to identify differentiated stories.
• Partner with audio, video, and social media teams to develop multi-platform storytelling formats.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of experience as a journalist with a track record of investigative data or OSINT reporting.
• Proven ability to publish long-form investigative work that has real-world impact.
• Capability to code and develop bespoke tools to serve investigative needs.
• Must be based in New York or San Francisco for a hybrid (4 days/week) in-office arrangement.
• Clear, engaging, and jargon-free writing style.
