Senior Platform Engineer (AI Infrastructure)

Senior Platform Engineer (AI Infrastructure): Designing and evolving next-generation hybrid cloud and AI infrastructure platforms with an accent on Kubernetes extensibility and open-source technologies. A leading deep-tech company specializing in Quantum Computing and AI, developing the Singularity software platform for industrial clients across finance, energy, and manufacturing.

What you will do

• Design and implement hybrid cloud architectures across AWS and private cloud environments (OpenStack/OpenShift).
• Develop custom Kubernetes Operators and CRDs to manage multi-tenant platforms and GPU orchestration.
• Build a "neo-cloud" platform and develop control planes and APIs to automate infrastructure lifecycle management.
• Define DevOps strategy, GitOps workflows, and CI/CD pipelines using Terraform and Ansible.
• Optimize compute, storage, and networking layers for large-scale AI/ML and data-intensive distributed workloads.
• Mentor engineers and drive technical decisions regarding platform engineering best practices.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in DevOps, platform engineering, or systems engineering.
• Expert-level knowledge of Kubernetes internals, including hands-on experience building custom CRDs and Operators.
• Proven experience as a Cloud Architect with strong AWS expertise.
• Strong proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and CI/CD systems (GitLab Pipelines, GitHub Actions).
• Proficiency in Python or JavaScript and strong Linux systems debugging skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent professional experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with OpenStack, OpenShift, or emerging neo-cloud providers like Nscale or Nebius.
• Background in bare-metal provisioning, GPU infrastructure, and AI/ML workloads.
• Knowledge of service meshes (e.g., Istio) and high-performance networking (RDMA, InfiniBand).
• Kubernetes certifications (CKA, CKAD, CKS).
• German fluency.
