What you will do

  • Develop embedded C firmware to control DSP hardware.
  • Create C and Python test code for utilities, GUIs, regression, and simulation infrastructure.
  • Implement firmware routines using finite state machines for parallel task management.
  • Optimize subroutines for multi-core MCU architectures.
  • Debug critical issues by performing root cause analysis with HW/SW teams using Jira.
  • Manage the full software cycle from concept through design, implementation, and release.

Requirements

  • Must be a last-year master's student enrolled at an accredited Italian university or a graduate within the last 12 months in Computer Science, Electronics, Physics, or similar.
  • Fundamental understanding of micro-controller architecture (ARM, RISC-V).
  • Knowledge of Networking fundamentals (OSI model, PHY and data link layers).
  • Proficiency in C and Python.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Basic understanding of processor interaction with memories and peripherals.

Nice to have

  • Experience with git, Linux, makefiles, gdb, and bash.
  • Familiarity with Jira, GitLab, and Jenkins (CI/CD).
  • Previous experience in Embedded Firmware environments.
  • Understanding of DSP concepts such as equalizers, filters, ADC/DAC, and PAM modulation.
