What you will do

• Design and develop reliable mechanisms for multi-constraint scheduling problems in distributed systems.
• Scale algorithms for infrastructure-level workload placement and balancing with low latency.
• Optimize algorithms for storage, networking, compute, and hardware accelerators.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate DRS with Kubernetes on vSphere, NSX, vSAN, and vCenter Server.
• Decompose vague problems into detailed requirements and deliver high-quality technical solutions.
• Develop automated tests and perform code reviews to ensure reliability and adherence to standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's in CS/Engineering with 8+ years of experience, or Master's with 6+ years.
• Proficiency in C++ with strong software development process experience.
• Experience with cloud-based infrastructure offerings.
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and collaboration skills.
• Experience with Git and agile development methodologies.
• Must have legal authorization to work in the US; no immigration sponsorship provided.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of modern workload schedulers like Kubernetes.
• Experience with Docker and containerization technologies.
• Familiarity with VMware products such as vSphere, NSX, and vSAN.
• Experience with VMware VCF's DRS technology and use-cases.
