TL;DR

Incident Response Principal Consultant (Cybersecurity): Leading incident response engagements and developing threat hunting methods for advanced attackers with an accent on host and network forensics. Location: Remote (Must be based in the US, specifically in Pacific or Mountain time)

Salary: $140,000 - $195,000 per year

What you will do

  • Lead incident response engagements for high-profile global organizations.
  • Develop and implement new methods to hunt for bad actors across large datasets.
  • Conduct detailed intrusion investigations under the direction of outside counsel.
  • Perform host and network-based forensics across Windows, Mac, and Linux platforms.
  • Conduct basic malware analysis to determine threat capabilities.
  • Produce high-quality technical reports and presentations for stakeholders, regulators, and legal counsel.

Requirements

  • Expertise in Incident Response, Computer Forensic Analysis, or Network Forensic Analysis.
  • Proven team leadership experience within a matrixed consulting environment.
  • Strong knowledge of network protocols and analysis tools like Zeek or Suricata.
  • Experience with Cloud Incident Response methodologies in AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Ability to travel on short notice, up to 30% of the time.
  • BA/BS or MA/MS degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
