What you will do

• Design, implement, and support projects to improve scalability of Atlas Search for large workloads
• Collaborate with a team prioritizing sound technical decisions and customer-focused systems
• Lead projects and own subsystems within the Atlas Search infrastructure
• Contribute to team roadmap and system architecture decisions

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in or able to work from San Francisco, CA
• 2+ years experience building and maintaining backend software in complex codebases
• Experience with distributed systems and multithreaded applications
• Familiarity with public cloud platforms and metric-based development
• Experience with at least one modern statically typed language; interest in Java
• Strong verbal and written technical communication skills
