What you will do

• Develop and optimize SQL-based transaction monitoring rules to detect high-risk activities.
• Design and build scalable data tables and components to support robust rule frameworks.
• Analyze alerts to tune thresholds and maximize detection accuracy while reducing false positives.
• Collaborate with MLROs and risk teams to translate regulatory requirements into feasible monitoring rules.
• Document rule logic and tuning methodologies to ensure audit readiness.
• Continuously monitor rule performance and adjust for emerging risks or regulatory changes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Strong proficiency in SQL with experience building complex queries and managing data structures.
• Solid working knowledge of AML regulations and transaction monitoring within crypto or financial services.
• Hands-on experience designing and tuning rule-based monitoring systems for operational efficiency.
• Ability to diplomatically challenge and persuade senior stakeholders, including MLROs.
• Location: Must be based in Asia
