What you will do

• Develop and optimize real-time high-scale infrastructure services handling billions of users and massive data volumes.
• Take end-to-end ownership: design, develop, deploy, measure, and maintain services.
• Solve production issues in framework code and improve system performance (e.g., reduce serving times, custom compaction strategies).
• Build and enhance data pipelines, Kafka consumers, metrics ingestion, and anomaly detection engines.
• Collaborate with top engineers on cutting-edge projects like custom Kafka producers and authentication services.
• Influence how billions discover content on the internet.

Requirements

• Experience developing large-scale distributed systems.
• Deep CS fundamentals: object-oriented design, data structures, systems, applications programming, multi-threading.
• 5+ years in Java or equivalent OO language.
• Production systems understanding.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Highly proficient in Linux environment.
• Proven ability to work across multiple teams.
• BSc in computer science or equivalent.

Nice to have

• Experience in Big Data tools.
• Knowledge in algorithms, data-mining, and machine learning.
