What you will do

• Lead full development lifecycle of critical platform services, including architecture, coding, testing, deployment, and production monitoring/incident response.
• Champion technical excellence in coding standards, system design, security, observability, cost awareness, and AI integration into engineering practices.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, engineers, tech leads, and stakeholders to deliver impactful end-to-end solutions.
• Contribute to team and company initiatives, document decisions, share knowledge, and drive ownership beyond core responsibilities.

Requirements

• Deep backend expertise with event-driven and microservices architectures, scalable resilient system design.
• Proven hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot, building and operating production services.
• Solid knowledge of data structures, design patterns, OOP, pragmatic trade-off thinking.
• End-to-end ownership of services: architecture, implementation, testing, deployment, observability/monitoring, support.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• 5+ years of software development experience.
• Experience in maintenance and monitoring of microservice environments.

Nice to have

• Experience with frontend technologies such as React or Angular.
• Strong interest in AI-driven development, using or evaluating AI-assisted tools.
• Experience with cloud providers (AWS advantage), containers/CI/CD/IaC.
• Experience with Ruby on Rails.
